How long are your semesters?
Our semesters include 9 weeks of classes. We meet for three weeks, and we take a break the fourth week. Our semesters end up being 11 weeks.
Are the same classes offered every semester?
Some classes are offered multiple semesters, and some have only ever been offered once. Our class offerings are at the teachers' discretions each semester.
Can parents stay on campus and not teach?
Absolutely. We understand sometimes parents just need a break or have other priorities needing attention. Parents can hang out on campus or can even choose to drop off their students if that's what's best in a given season.
How many students attend NOCC?
We currently have the joy of serving 70+ students from nursery through high school. What a blessing!
What kinds of classes do you offer?
All of our classes have a hands-on element to them. We leave the academics for at home, and we focus on any skill that can help students in business or in ministry. This may include welding, gardening, apologetics, homesteading, robotics, etc. Each semester brings a new mix of classes chosen by the parents teaching.
Who can become a member?
Anyone who passes a casual interview with our director can join! Must be a homeschooling family in the vicinity of Orange, Texas. Must love Jesus and produce the fruits thereof.
